Doctrine Lite

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the Word of the Living God.

  • Perfect Word: The Bible is the perfect Word of God, free of error, with all books in the Old and New Testaments being God-breathed.
  • Guidance and Salvation: It leads all men to eternal salvation, sets the standard for our faith and Christian life, and guides church administration.
  • Truth and Revival: The Bible is the truth that provides spiritual revival and blessings and is the only perfect guide to a proper human life. The Apostles’ Creed, the core of the Bible, is the foundation of our faith.
  • Sole Revelation: We uphold the Bible as the only revelation of God and denounce any unbiblical teachings, mysticism, or empiricism. We do not add to, remove from, or critically judge the Bible.

2. God

We believe in the Triune God.

  • God the Father: The self-existent One, perfectly holy, loving, just, truthful, and everlasting. Almighty and omnipresent, He created all things and sustains them. He is our merciful Father who sent His Son for our salvation.
  • Jesus Christ: The Only Son of God, the Word, and the Origin of Life and Light. Born of the Virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit, He is both true man and true God, the Mediator who redeems mankind.
  • The Holy Spirit: Proceeding from the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit is eternal, with the same power and glory as the Father and the Son. He reproaches sin, teaches believers, strengthens souls, and makes the church holy.

3. Man

We believe that man was created by God but became corrupt by abusing his free will.

  • Creation of Man: God created man in His own image, as a living spirit consisting of spirit, soul, and body. Man was noble, designed to fellowship with God and rule over all creation.
  • Free Will: Man was given free will but became corrupt by misusing it. God’s mercy through Jesus Christ offers salvation, enabling believers to become God’s children. Believers must obey the Holy Spirit to avoid sin and corruption.
  • Corruption of Man: Man was created righteous but became corrupt through disobedience. This inherited sinful nature, called “original sin,” leads all men to sin. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice cleanses us from both self-committed and original sin.

4. Rebirth

We believe that we have been reborn by Jesus Christ’s redemptive death and resurrection.

  • The Righteous: Refers to all those declared righteous. In God’s mercy, sinners are forgiven and accepted as righteous when they repent and believe in Jesus Christ’s redemption. This righteousness lasts as long as they have faith and obey God.
  • Rebirth: Means being born again, experiencing a moral change by the Holy Spirit. Hearts once dead in sin are revived in Jesus Christ, leading to a victorious life free from past sins.
  • Justification and Rebirth: Through justification, believers are declared righteous by God. Rebirth brings moral change. Both are accomplished by faith and take place simultaneously in each believer’s experience.
  • Sin after Rebirth: While it is natural for reborn believers not to sin, they may sin due to weakness. However, forgiveness is available through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

5. Sanctification

We believe that we become holy through the redemptive blood of Jesus and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

  • Sanctification: Also known as holiness, purification, and perfect love. It signifies being forgiven and purified through Jesus Christ’s redemption and the Holy Spirit’s baptism.
  • Duty of Sanctification: All believers are called to receive sanctification. It is God’s command and the aim of Jesus Christ’s redemption.
  • Necessity of Sanctification: Man inherits sin and corruption, and must be cleansed to serve God and be blameless at the Second Advent of Jesus.
  • The Way of Sanctification: Accomplished through faith, obedience, prayer, the Holy Spirit’s power, and Jesus Christ’s blood.
  • Rebirth and Sanctification: Rebirth forgives self-committed sin and brings new life, while sanctification cleanses original sin. Rebirth is the start, and sanctification is its perfection.

6. Healing

We believe that God heals our physical diseases with divine power through the redemption of Jesus Christ’s blood.

  • Divine Healing: Indicates having good health through God’s protection and being healed of diseases by His power through prayer. Healing is God’s will, promise, and powerful work.
  • Importance of Divine Healing: A part of Jesus Christ’s redemption, healing comes through His suffering and sacrifice. Believers should seek healing through repentance, faith, and prayer, and testify to this grace.
  • Divine Healing and Worldly Treatment: Refers to being healed by relying on God’s omnipotence and promise, without depending on medicine or science. However, the positive impacts of medical treatments are acknowledged and not condemned.

7. Resurrection

We believe that everyone who fully believes in Jesus Christ will resurrect with a glorious body as Jesus did.

  • Resurrection: Revival of the dead, divided into spiritual and physical resurrection. Spiritual resurrection is reviving spirits dead in sin through faith in Jesus. Physical resurrection happens at Jesus’ Second Advent and after the Millennium Kingdom.
  • Two Types of Resurrection:
    1. First Resurrection: Includes Jesus Christ’s resurrection, believers’ resurrection at Jesus’ return, and the two witnesses during the Great Tribulation.
    2. Second Resurrection: Includes all who have died since creation, resurrecting after the Millennium Kingdom before the Great Judgment.
  • Resurrected Body: Glorious and everlasting, free from disease, imperishable, and transcending time, space, and gender, much like Jesus’ resurrected body.

8. The Second Advent of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to Earth before the Millennium Kingdom begins.

  • The Second Advent: A central doctrine, the Bible records both Jesus’ First and Second Advents. Jesus will return to take saved believers to heaven in glory.
  • Prophecies on the Second Advent: Prophesied over 300 times in the Bible by prophets, disciples, angels, and Jesus Himself.
  • Timing of the Second Advent: Unknown to man, but Jesus described it as sudden and unexpected, with various signs leading up to it. Believers should watch and prepare.
  • Location of the Second Advent:
    1. In the air
    2. On Earth
  • Appearance of the Second Advent: Jesus will return on clouds, in blazing fire, with the archangel’s voice and God’s trumpet call, accompanied by spirits of deceased believers.
  • Purpose of the Second Advent:
    1. To take saved believers to heaven
    2. To establish and rule the Kingdom of Righteousness
    3. To judge the living and the dead
  • Preparation for the Second Advent:
    1. Prepare oil
    2. Have firm faith
    3. Watch and be alert

9. Church

We believe that a church is a place to worship God, enjoy fellowship, and train spiritually, preserving believers to change the world.

  • Church: A collection of redeemed believers, called by God, separated from the world, and saved by Jesus Christ. It is the body of Christ, where believers gather, worship, and partake in Holy Communion.
  • Foundation of Truth: Where God’s Word is taught and the Gospel is preached, leading souls to salvation. It prepares believers as brides of Christ, awaiting His Second Advent.

10. The Millennium Kingdom

We believe that Jesus Christ will establish the Millennium Kingdom of Peace on Earth.

  • The Millennium: A kingdom of blessings Jesus will build after His return, judging nations, and binding Satan for a thousand years. It will be a time of rest, restoration, and fulfillment.
  • Millennium Kingdom:
    1. An age without sin, filled with peace and unity, as the world returns to Christ.
    2. Restoration of the land, plants, and animals.
    3. Restoration of human life.
  • Politics in the Millennium Kingdom: Jesus will reign as King of kings, believers will reign with Him, and the kingdom will be filled with bliss.

11. Eternal Life and Eternal Death

We believe that every man will receive either eternal life or eternal death.

  • Immortal Spirit: Each person’s spirit is immortal, living eternally. Believers in Jesus Christ will enjoy eternal life in heaven, while those who deny Him and do evil will face eternal torment in hell.
  • Judgment: Everyone will be judged according to their actions and sent to either eternal life or eternal punishment. No one is exempt from God’s judgment.
  • Erroneous Arguments: Arguments claiming second chances in hell, lack of pain, or perishing spirits are false. The Bible clearly states the existence of eternal heaven and hell.
